The weekly poll  is trying to stay cool. Go vote and fan it a little, won’t you?

This week’s poll topic has to do with your thermostat and where you set it in the summertime. I asked this last summer, and since it was such a popular poll topic, I thought now that the dog days of summer seem to once again be upon us, it might be time to revisit it.

So, what about you? Do you keep the temperature high to save some dough? Or do you crank it down low to beat the heat? Cast your vote and let me know!

RESULTS:

Where do you usually set your thermostat in the summer?

  • 71-75 (38%, 13 Votes)
  • 76-80 (32%, 11 Votes)
  • 66-70 (21%, 7 Votes)
  • 80+ You can often find me sweatin’ to the oldies. (6%, 2 Votes)
  • 60-65 (3%, 1 Votes)
  • Below 60 I like to pretend it’s Christmas in July. (0%, 0 Votes)

Total Voters: 34

Right after buying our house (with your help of course) we installed a programmable thermostat. When we’re home it sits at 72 but when we’re away it goes up to 76. Since we installed it from the jump I’m not sure how much savings we’ve seen with it but it’s nice to have multiple settings so we can essentially “set it and forget it”.
