The Weekly Poll: How far below list price is the ideal starting offer?
The weekly poll is over there lowballin’ like a gangsta. Go cheer it on.
Last week’s topic was about listing prices and more specifically how much less than listing price you think the average seller is willing to take to sell their house. Well, there were a lot of responses, so I thought this week I thought I’d ask a question along the same lines. But instead of focusing on what sellers would take, this week I’m curious about what you would offer. More specifically, how far below asking price do you think the average starting offer price should be?
Now, this is not necessarily the amount you’re going to end up with, but rather the point at which you would start negotiations. With as much inventory as there is on the market. I’m seeing folks go in way lower than they would have
So what about you? How far below list price is your ideal opening offer? Just a little or are you not afraid to get out there a throw a serious lowball? Cast your vote and let me know.
