The weekly poll is trying to clean its carpets. You know how dirty carpet can get with all those voters coming and going all the time.

This week’s question is a simple – or not so simple – choice: hardwood or carpet? I spend a good deal of time with home buyers of all makes and models, and this is an issue they seem to be fairly divided over. For me there’s no real choice to make: I have three cats, so hardwood it is. But for some folks, carpet is the only way to go. This seems to be especially true for people prone to cold feet and those who can’t stand the thought of walking barefoot on hardwood. And still others can quite bring themselves to choose and settle for combo: hardwood in the living areas, carpet in the bedrooms. Because who wants to walk on cold hardwood floors first thing in the morning?
