The Weekly Poll: Do furnished homes show better?
The weekly poll is trying to decide whether to move all of the furniture out of its house before it sells. Go vote and give it your opinion.
This week’s poll topic is one that I’m asked about a lot by sellers: Do furnished houses show better than empty houses? This didn’t used to be quite as big of an issue as it is now, but now that days on market has gone up quite a bit, many home sellers have no choice but to move out before their home sells.
I personally think that even a little bit of furniture — at least enough to give a sense of the size or space in a room — is better than no furniture. It also tends to add a little warmth to the home.
So, what about you? Do you think furnished homes show better than empty homes? Or do you care more about the floor plan and the price than somebody’s else’s stuff? Cast your vote and let me know!
By reader request, starting this week, I will be posting the previous week’s poll results on Sunday night along with the new poll question. Look for them at the bottom of the post for the previous week’s question. If you have any suggestions on a better way to update or present that info, I’d love to hear it!
