Knoxville Neighborhood of the Week: Wexford at Lake Loudon

This week Neighborhood of the Week takes a trip down Northshore to a neighborhood that’s close to, but not right on, the water: Wexford at Lake Loudon.

Located just across the street from lovely Lake Loudon, Wexford at Lake Loudon is a small neighborhood of upscale homes built mostly in the early to mid 1990s. And while none of the homes in Wexford are lake front, many have very nice lake views.

Homes in Wexford are on the large side, with the majority being around 3,000 or 4,000 square feet. While some homes are stucco or partial stucco, most are all brick with a very traditional and sometimes slightly colonial architectural style.

And just because Wexford’s not on the water doesn’t mean its residents can’t enjoy it.In addition to having its own neighborhood pool, there’s a public boat launch located just across Northshore and both Concord Park and The Cove at Concord Park are both just minutes away. Concord Park has a marina and boat access, while The Cove has canoe & kayak rentals, lake swimming, two sand volleyball areas, a large playground, and a .7-mile paved walking trail.

So if you’re looking for something upscale that’s as close to the water as you can get without actually being on it, why not look into Wexford at Lake Loudon.
