Knoxville Neighborhood of the Week: Hollywood Hills

This week Neighborhood of the Week heads west to take a look at a little neighborhood that brings a little bit of the glamor of Tinsel Town right here to K-Town: Hollywood Hills.

Located just north of Papermill about halfway between Liberty and Weisgarber and just west of Hollywood Road, Hollywood Hills is a small enclave of smallish to mid-size homes built mostly in the 1950s and 60s. While it may be small, you’ll know you’re in Hollywood Hills by the street names, all of which are names of famous old Hollywood actors: Shirley Way, Autry Way, Lamour Drive and Crosby Drive to name a few.

While the street names may evoke images of modern California architecture, the homes in Hollywood Hills, while charming,  are fairly typical 50s and 60s ranchers and cottages. They are also, unlike homes in the real Hollywood Hills, quite affordable, with most sales falling under the $200K mark.

Hollywood Hills is easily accessible via I-40, Middlebrook and Papermill and, being more or less centrally located, is a pretty easy commute to just about any part of Knoxville.

So if you’re looking for an affordable home in a convenient location with some fancy street names to boot, you might want to see what’s for sale in Hollywood Hills.
