This week Neighborhood of the Week stays in West Knoxville to take a look at a tucked away little neighborhood that also happens to be All Around KTown’s 50th NOTW: Farrington.

Bordered by Ebenezer to the west, Nubbin Ridge to the south and Westland to the North, Farrington is a smallish neighborhood with lots of established trees and nice, big lots.

Homes in Farrington were mostly built in the ’80s, although there are some newer homes scattered here and there. Homes tend to be on the largish side, most starting at around 2000 square feet.

Stylwise, there’s quite a bit of diversity: Colonial and Tudor 2 storys sit in perfect harmony next to more contemporary style homes and basement ranchers.

The community is part of the non-profit Benington/Farrington Recreation Association . BFRA is a is a “volunteer-member run organization that exists to provide swimming and related recreational facilities for its members and their guests.” The pool is located just across Ebenezer in the Benington subdivision and a resident season pass currently costs $250.

Farrington is easily accessible via I-40, I-140, and Kingston Pike.

So, if you’re looking for a home in a convenient West Knoxville neighborhood that’s both large and within shouting distance of a neighobrhood pool, look no further than Farrington.

As always, if you want any more information about any of these properties, or if you’d like to check one of them out in person, just give me a shout.

If you would like to receive a full list of properties for sale in this neighborhood, or if you would like to be notified of new listings, send me an email with either “Current Farrington Listings” or “New Farrington Listings” in the subject line and I’ll take care of the rest.  Spam is just lame.

Know a community that you think would make great AAKT Neighborhoods of the Week? Tell me about it in the comments.
