This week Neighborhood of the Week heads back out west to revisit a large, affordable neighborhood that’s just a hop, skip and a jump away from a community swimming pool : Crestwood Hills.

Located between Middlebrook and Kingston Pike just west of Walker Springs and east of Cedar Bluff, Crestwood Hills is another one of Knoxville’s many 1960s/1970s era neighborhoods. That means there are plenty of nice big trees, many good size lots, and yes, you guessed it, tons of ranchers, split foyers and split levels.

Like nearby Gulf Park, Crestwood Hills has a community recreation center and swimming pool. There is also a Crestwood Hills Swim Team.

Since the neighborhood is more or less halfway between West Town and Turkey Creek, residents have lots of options when it comes to shopping. There is also a post office nearby as well as the Cedar Bluff branch of the Knox County Public Library.

Crestwood Hills is easily accessible via I-40, Middlebrook Pike and Kingston Pike.

So if you’re looking for something with a neighborhood pool that’s affordable and conveniently located, Crestwood Hills might be right up your alley.
