Knoxville Foreclosure Watch: September 30, 2009
Good to see ya again, Watchers! In this week’s edition of Knoxville Foreclosure Watch, active foreclosure listings were down, while pending and closed foreclosure listings were both up. In other words, the numbers were all moving in the right directions.
There were 24 new foreclosure listings in the week that was and 37920 was by far the frontrunner with a whopping 6 new listings. Other zips with more than one new foreclosure listing included 37914, 37918, 37923, 37924, 37931, and 37938.

Meanwhile, in closed listing news, there were were an impressive 16 closed foreclosure listings last week. And as usual, they were fairly evenly distributed, with 2 each in 37914, 37917, 37918, 37921, and 37924 and 1 each in 37721, 37849, 37919, 37920, 37922 and 37931.

Notable New Listings:
North: $115,000 (3 BR, 2 BA, 1800+ sq ft in Powell)
South: $215,000 (2 BR, 2 BA, 2100 sq ft “hideaway” on 15+ acres off John Sevier)
East: $69,900 (4 BR, 2 BA, 1800+ sq ft in Holston Hills area)
West: $149,900 (3 BR, 2 BA, 1700+ sq ft in Knottingham Forest)
Current Pending Sales -118
Average Asking Price – $97,833
Median Asking Price – $79,900
Closed Sales September 23, 2009- September 29, 2009 - 16
Average Asking Price – $100,358
Average Sales Price – $96,488
Median Sales Price – $87,750
