Knoxville Foreclosure Watch: September 09, 2009
Happy 09/09/09, Watchers! In this week’s edition of Knoxville Foreclosure Watch, active foreclosure listings finally fell for the first time in 7 weeks, pendings were up, and closings were down. All in all, fairly good news, especially considering that pending foreclosure listings are back up at their record high of 144. I don’t know about you, but I would MUCH rather see these things selling than languishing on the market.
Over in new listing land, there were a total of 18 new foreclosure listings. 37921 had the most with 4 and there were only two other zips with more than one: 37917 with 3 and 37919 with 2.
There were only 5 closed foreclosure listings last week and they were evenly spread out over 5 different zips: 37849, 37912, 37921, 37924, and 37934. And 37918 is still at the head of the class with 47 closed foreclosure listings so far this year. Can you blame folks for wanting a good deal in Fountain City?
