Knoxville Foreclosure Watch: March 4, 2009
Welcome back, Watchers! This week on Knoxville Foreclosure Watch, active listings were up, pending listings were down, and closed listings were way up. 17 foreclosure listings closed last week, the most in one week since last July. Again, I’m wondering if this is sign that investors are getting back into the market. Or maybe these properties are just being bought up by regular old buyers who know a good deal when they see one?
In new listing news, there were 28 new listings last week. 37917 had the most with 4 and remains in the lead with 36 new listings so far this year. Other zips with more than one new listing last included 37914, 37918, 37919, 37921, 37922 and 37938.and 37938.
Zips with more than one closed foreclosure listing included 37721, 37849, 37917, 37921, and 37938. 37917 remains in the lead in this category as well, with 12 closed listings this year.
