Happy New Year, Watchers!  In this week’s  final Knoxville Foreclosure Watch for 2009, closings stayed up, while active foreclosures hit a record FW high (by one) and pending foreclosures hit their lowest point since October 2008. 2009, why you gotta go out like that?

In new listing news, our old friend 37917 had the most with 3.  Other zips with more than 1 new foreclosure listing included 37914, 37918, and 37920. And, here are the top 5 zip codes for new foreclosure listings for all of 2009:

1. 37917 – 153
2. 37918 - 136
3. 37914 – 113
4. 37915 – 108
5. 37921 – 107

There were 11 closed foreclosure listings in the last days of 2009 and they broke down like this: 2 each in 37849, 37918, 37920 and 37921 and 1 each in 37871, 37917, and 37919. And here are your top 5 favorite foreclosure buying zip codes in Knox County for 2009:

1. 37918 – 74
2. 37917 – 64
